Lancers International School's Annual Winter Carnival Celebrates Community, Culture, Charity
Lancers International School's 12th Annual Winter Carnival celebrated community service, with proceeds supporting local organisations.
Lancers International School (LIS) hosted its 12th Annual Winter Carnival, which brought together students, teachers, and parents for a day filled with festive joy. The theme of the event was community service, and the carnival organised activities focussed on helping the local community.
All proceeds from the day’s activities will support charitable, student-led initiatives that benefit local organisations, the school said.
The event featured a variety of activities, with each grade making contributions.
While Grade 1 donated hygiene kits to out-of-school children in the vicinity of LIS, Grade 2 students spent time with the school’s security personnel and gardeners appreciating and expressing gratitude for their work. Grade 3 focused on supporting local farmers through community outreach, and students of Grade 4 exchanged gifts sourced from Avacayam, an organisation that supports arts and crafts made by people with disability, while Grade 5 participated in a "Police for a Day" programme, partnering with the DLF 5 police station.
Highlighting the carnival’s ethos, Promoter Harshita Mann said: “The Annual Winter Carnival at Lancers International School reflects our commitment to global awareness, community service, and cultural diversity. By uniting students, teachers, and parents, it instills values of unity, charity, and responsibility, shaping compassionate global citizens ready to make a difference.”
