UPSC NDA, NA 1 and 2 exam dates are out on upsc.gov.in.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the National Defence Academy (NDA) exam dates for NDA 1 and NDA 2 Exams. The NDA 1 Exam is scheduled for the 153rd Course and the 115th Indian Naval Academy Courses. NDA 1 Notification 2024 is expected to be released in December 2023, with applications accepted until January 9, 2024. As per the current schedule, the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (NDA & NA-I) are set for April 21, 2024 (Sunday), while the NDA & NA-II will take place on September 1, 2024.

The NDA 2 Exam 2024 follows an offline mode with Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) in two subjects: Mathematics and General Ability Test (GAT). The duration for each is 2½ hours, with Mathematics carrying 300 marks and GAT 600 marks, totaling 900 marks for a 5-hour test. Conducted twice a year in April and September by the UPSC, the selection process involves a written test of Objective Type Questions and an Intelligence & Personality Test (SSB).

Both papers are available in bilingual format (English and Hindi), with the English Language section required to be attempted solely in English. This competitive examination is the gateway to admission in the National Defence Academy (NDA) and the Naval Academy (INA).

The SSB (Services Selection Board) interview serves as a comprehensive evaluation to gauge candidates' mental, physical, and psychological readiness for a career in the Indian Armed Forces. This rigorous process encompasses diverse tests, such as psychological assessments, group discussions, individual interviews, and physical evaluations. Due to the intense competition associated with the NDA (National Defence Academy) Exam, only a limited number of candidates successfully navigate through this challenging selection process to secure admission to the esteemed NDA or INA (Indian Naval Academy).
