Prime Minister Narendra Modi distributed appointment letters to over 51,000 newly appointed recruits today, November 30, 2023. PM Modi distributed the appointment letters and addressed the newly inducted recruits through video conferencing today. On the appointment letter distribution event, the Prime Minister took to X (formerly twitter), saying, “Rozgar Mela paves the way for youth to become the makers of a 'Viksit Bharat.” Addressing the new recruits online, PM Modi congratulated them on their appointments and underlined that it was a result of their hard work and talent. 


"Today, over 50,000 people have got offer letters for government jobs. These offer letters are a result of your efforts and talent. I want to congratulate you and your family on this occasion...As the employees of the Government of India, you all have to fulfill several responsibilities. No matter which field you are working in, your top priority should be the ease of living of the people of the country," the Prime Minister said. During his address, he further shed light on how the central government has been striving continuously to provide jobs to the youth of the country. 


Union Minister Piyush Goyal, who was present during the appointment letter distribution ceremony at the Royal Opera House in Mumbai, underlined the growth trajectory of India, saying that the country will turn up as a 35 trillion dollar economy in 2047, when India would celebrate its 100th independence.

“We will be a 35 trillion dollar economy when we celebrate 100 years of Independence. Maybe none of us will be there in 2047 to celebrate that glorious developed India, prosperous India, but it can only happen when each one of you in this room, and all your 51,000 other colleagues will contribute with a spirit of duty to make India a developed nation," Piyush Goyal said while addressing the event. 


Notably, the appointment letter distribution ceremony was held at 37 different locations across the country. A statement from the PM’s office was earlier reported as saying by PTI that the new appointees will be joining the revenue, home affairs, higher education, school education and literacy, financial services, defence, health and family welfare, and labour and employment departments, among others.
