The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) will conclude the application process for the Combined State/Upper Subordinate Services Examination 2023 soon. Today is the last day for application fee submission and candidates have time till April 6 to submit their application form. Those who are interested can apply online through the official website at uppsc.up.nic.in.


UPPSC is currently conducting a recruitment drive for UPPSC PCS 2023 to fill 173 vacancies for the positions of DM, Deputy SP and various administrative positions. It should be noted that the number of vacancies may change depending on the commission's requirements.


Eligibility Criteria: 


To apply for the UPPSC PCS examination, candidates must have a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university or institution. The applicant's age should not exceed 40 years as of July 1, 2023, except for PWD candidates who have a maximum age limit of 55 years.


Selection Process: 


The selection process for UPPSC PCS 2023 involves three stages. The first stage is the Preliminary Exam, which will consist of multiple choice questions (MCQs) for a total of 400 marks. The question paper will be divided into two sections- General Studies I and General Studies II (also known as CSAT).


The second stage is the Main Exam, which will be conducted offline as a pen and paper-based test consisting of nine papers, out of which seven will be compulsory and two will be optional.


The third and final stage is the Interview, which will carry a weightage of 100 marks. Only candidates who qualify for the UPPSC PCS 2023 prelims and main examination will be eligible to appear for the final interview round for the selection process.
