The Staff Selection Commission has started the online registration-cum-appplication process for the SSC CGL 2023 Exam today, April 1, 2023. Interested candidates can submit their applications online on the official website of SSC at ssc.nic.in. The last date for applying online is May 1, 2023.
The SSC CGL Exam is an annual examination conducted every year by the Staff Selection Commission for the induction of ‘Group B,’ and ‘Group C’ officers in various ministries and departments of the central government.
The SSC CGL 2023 Exam will be conducted in two tiers: Tier-1 and Tier-2. While the SSC CGL Tier-1 Exam will be an objective MCQ-based written test, the Tier-2 Exam will be a three-paper examination including a skill test.
SSC CGL 2023: Eligibility Criteria
Before applying for the SSC CGL Exam, candidates must ensure that they fulfill the desired eligibility criteria as notified by the commission. In general, candidates are required to have the following eligibility criteria for the SSC CGL Exam:
Citizenship– Must be a citizen of India, Nepal, Bhutan
SSC CGL Age Limit- Must be between the age group of 18 years and 32 years
Qualification- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University
Besides the aforementioned eligibility criteria, candidates appearing for some specialized SSC CGL posts like inspector and sub-inspector will also have to appear for a physical fitness test.
SSC CGL 2023 Registration: How To Apply
To fill the online application form for SSC CGL 2023, candidates should follow the steps given below:
- Visit the official website of SSC at ssc.nic.in.
- Click on the "New Registration" tab.
- Provide the necessary details to generate a login ID and password.
- Log in using the ID and password created in the previous step.
- Fill the SSC CGL application form 2023.
- Pay the application fees and click on submit.
- Download and take a printout of the SSC CGL application form for future reference.
Candidates are required to pay an application fee of Rs. 100, except for candidates from the SC, ST, PwBD, ESM categories, and women candidates, who are exempted from paying the fee.
