Patna, April 28: The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has officially announced a major recruitment drive for Assistant Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical) positions across various state departments. A total of 1,024 vacancies have been announced, providing a golden opportunity for engineering graduates seeking government jobs in Bihar.
BPSC Recruitment 2025: Eligibility Details
The online application process will commence on April 30, 2025, and will remain open until May 28, 2025. Candidates must have a degree in Engineering (BE/BTech) in the relevant discipline to be eligible.

As per the Personnel and Administrative Reforms Department and the General Administration Department of Bihar:
- General category candidates must score at least 40%
- Backward Class candidates: 36.5%,
- Extremely Backward Class candidates: 34%
- SC/ST, women, and differently-abled candidates: 32%.

Carefully confirm if you fulfill all the eligibility criteria, including age, marks obtained, etc.
Next, you will have to register on the BPSC portal. This is a one-time process.
Write down all the details, such as name, mobile number, and email ID to complete registration.
You will get the registration ID and password on your mobile phone and email. Use these to login to the BPSC website.
You will have to fill out personal, academic, and communication details. This process can be a bit long. Ensure that you provide correct and relevant details only.
Next, you will start the application process by choosing the correct discipline (Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical).
Upload the scanned copies of photo, signature, and relevant documents (academic certificates and marksheets, caste certificate, domicile certificate, etc), Ensure that the correct document is uploaded against the relevant details. You may have to resize your photos and documents.
Pay the application fee online through net banking, UPI, or debit or credit card.
A receipt will be generated after the application process is completed. Save this receipt on your computer. A confirmation of payment will also be sent to your mobile phone.
