NTA Reopens JEE Mains 2020 Application Form Process; Here's How To Apply

HRD Minister announced the development on his Twitter handle saying that NTA's move will benefit students who had planned to study abroad but now decide to pursue their education in India.

New Delhi: In a major relief for the students whose plans to study abroad were affected due to Covid-19 outbreak, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has decided to reopen application forms for individuals interested in applying for JEE Main 2020 examinations. With the restrictions on global travel due to Covid-19 pandemic, it is anticipated that many students who usually plan to study in foreign countries for engineering subjects, may peruse their higher studies in Indian Institutes now. For the same, NTA has reopened the application forms so that more students can apply. Union Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank announced the development on his Twitter handle saying that NTA's move will benefit students who had planned to study abroad but now decide to pursue their education in India. "In view of representations received from various Indian students who were scheduled to join colleges abroad but are now keen to pursue their studies in India due to changed circumstances arising out of COVID-19, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has decided to give an opportunity," HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank tweeted. According to the official notice, this is for the JEE Main April 2020 that had been postponed to July due to coronavirus. The facility of submission/ completion of Online Application Form will be available on the website jeemain.nta.nic.in.

Important information to know about JEE Mains 2020 examination 

Form Submission Deadline: The application window which opened today, will be accessible to students till May 24. The application form shall be accepted till 5 PM. Deadline For Correction In Application Form: The facility for correction in the application form and choice of test centres in the online application form will be available from May 25 to 31. Corrections in the particulars of the online form will be accepted till 5 pm. Fee Submission: Students may submit the requisite fee up to 11:50 PM on May 31, through Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net Banking/ UPI or PAYTM. JEE Main 2020 Examination Dates: Exams will be held on July 18, 20, 21, 22 and 23.
