The National Testing Agency (NTA) has started the image correction window for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2024 Session 1. Applicants who have applied for JEE Main 2024 Session 1 and need to modify their images can make the necessary changes on the official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in. The image correction window for JEE Main 2024 Session 1 will remain open until January 6. Candidates are advised to utilise this period to ensure that their images align with the specified guidelines and are accurately represented in their applications.

''It has been observed that the Photograph uploaded by few candidate for Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) – 2024 has not been found as per the required specifications, therefore, it has been decided to give an opportunity to candidates to upload the Photograph as per required specifications to avoid rejection of application by opening the window to change their actual recent photograph on their respective online application forms as per schedule,'' the official notice reads.

The JEE Main correction window is an opportunity for candidates to rectify various issues related to their submitted images, including:

  1. Blurry Image: If the uploaded image appears blurry or unclear, candidates can replace it with a clearer one to ensure visibility and accuracy.

  2. Inaccurate Picture: If the uploaded picture doesn't meet the specified guidelines, such as incorrect size, format, or not following the requirements regarding facial expressions or poses, candidates can upload a new one adhering to the guidelines.

  3. Inappropriate Background: Images with backgrounds that don't conform to the specified standards can be corrected by uploading a new image with an appropriate background.

  4. Red Eye due to Spectacles: Sometimes, the use of spectacles may cause a red-eye effect in the photograph. Candidates can replace such images with ones where the eyes are clearly visible without any distortion.

  5. Unclear or Improper Signature: If the signature is not clear, written in capital letters, or does not meet the specified requirements, candidates can upload a new signature image that fulfills the criteria set by the examination authority.
