JEE Main 2023: Registration To Begin Soon, Know Eligibility, Exam Dates And Other Details

The JEE Main 2023 official notification is expected anytime soon. With no expected changes, the JEE Main 2023 exam is likely to follow a similar exam pattern as the JEE Main 2022.

New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is likely to begin the registration process for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE-mains) 2023 soon. Candidates looking to take up the esteemed exam would have to apply and submit their application cum registration forms online on the JEE Main official website jeemain.nta.nic.in.

The application process is expected to start by mid or late November and the tests are likely to be conducted in mid-January and April, reported The Times of India.

JEE Main 2023 Application

The official notification of JEE Main 2023 is expected soon. NTA is likely to release the official notification and the JEE Main 2023 Application Process Details anytime soon. Online registrations for JEE Main are expected to begin my the end of November 2022.

JEE Main 2023 Exam and Exam Dates

Similar to its predecessor, the JEE Main 2023 exam will also be conducted in two sessions; Session 1 and Session 2.  Session 1 is likely be held in January 2023 whereas Session 2 could begin in April 2023, as per several media reports. Fopr further updates and more details on JEE Main 2023, candidates are advised to check NTA's website - nta.ac.in regularly. 

JEE Main 2023 Registration Process

As in JEE Main 2022, the JEE Main 2023 registration shall also consist of several steps. Candidates would have to first fill the application form with personal and academic details, upload relevant documents, pay the application fee online, and then submit the application form.

JEE Main 2023 Eligibility Criteria

In order to apply for JEE Main, candidates are required to clear class 12th or any equivalent examination from a recognised board. The candidates should also have studied 5 studies in the qualifying examination including Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology. Candidates appearing in the qualifying exams can also apply for JEE Main. 

JEE Main 2023 Exam

The JEE Main is a national-level entrance exam conducted for admission to B.E, B.Tech, B.Planning, and B.Arch courses. The NTA (National Testing Agency) conducts the JEE Main examination across 2 papers. The JEE Main Paper 1 is held for admission into B.E/B.Tech courses at NITs, IIITs, GFTIs while the paper 2 is for admission into B.Arch and B.Planning courses at various institutes accepting JEE Main scores for admission. 

The B.Tech paper (Paper 1) in the JEE Main 2023 should mostly follow the familiar exam pattern with multiple-choice and numerical questions, spread across 3 sections: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The total number of applicants for the JEE Main 2022 stood around 9.5 lakh per session including many candidates who repeated the exams in each session aiming to secure better scores. The JEE Main 2022 results also saw 24 candidates securing perfect scores with 100 percentile and Rank 1 in the presrigious engineering entrance exam.
