JEE Advanced 2022: IIT Bombay Launches Website, Exam Dates To Be Announced Soon

Only the top 2.5 lakh applicants who pass JEE Main are eligible to take JEE Advanced. Since last year, the NTA has been holding the qualifying exam JEE Main four times a year.

New Delhi: This year's Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced will be administered by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay. The JEE Advanced 2022 website, jeeadv.ac.in, has gone live. The entrance test is for admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), and a few other institutions.

Only the top 2.5 lakh applicants who pass JEE Main are eligible to take JEE Advanced. Since last year, the NTA has been holding the qualifying exam JEE Main four times a year.

JEE Main and JEE Advanced 2022 dates are yet to be confirmed. While the information on the JEE Main test will be available on the National Testing Agency (NTA) websites, jeemain.nta.ac.in and nta.ac.in, IIT Bombay will disclose data about the JEE Advanced exam on jeeadv.ac.in.

According to a notice on the JEE Advanced website, individuals who were eligible and applied for the test last year but were unable to take it would be able to take it again in 2022. Given the COVID-19 circumstance, this is a one-time measure.

“Candidates who appeared in class 12th (or equivalent) examination for the first time in 2020 OR 2021 AND successfully registered for JEE (Advanced) 2021 but were absent in BOTH the papers, i.e., Paper 1 and Paper 2, of JEE (Advanced) 2021, are eligible to directly appear for JEE (Advanced) 2022 and do not need to fulfil Criteria 1 to 4. However, they must successfully register for the JEE (Advanced) 2022 in the online registration portal and pay the registration fee. Further, these candidates would be considered in addition to and not as part of the total number of candidates who would qualify from JEE (Main) 2022 for appearing in JEE (Advanced) 2022,” reads the official notification.
