Jamia Millia Islamia Researchers: India's Jamia Millia Islamia University has added another feather to its hat. US-based Stanford University has included 16 researchers from Jamia in the prestigious global list of the World's Top 2% scientists. This list was prepared by a team of experts led by eminent Prof. John Ioannidis and was published by the World-Renowned Stanford University, in collaboration with Elsevier BV.


A total of 3352 researchers from India found a place on the list, which represents the nation's valuable influence in global research. Stanford University has released two separate lists. The first prestigious list is based on career-long data, where 8 professors from Jamia found a place. The second list talks about the best performers of 2020, where 16 scientists from Jamia have found a place. These ranked scientists have been working in 22 scientific fields and 176 sub-regions. Career-long data had been updated at the end of 2020. The selection of the top 100,000 or 2% of the World's Top Scientists has been based on their C-Score.
