Indian Navy Sailor Recruitment 2018: Application process to fill 3400 Sailor vacancies of Indian Navy has begun on its official website – joinindiannavy.gov.in. The Indian Navy is inviting applications from eligible unmarried Indian male candidates to apply for 2500 vacancies for the post of Senior Secondary Recruit (SSR), 500 vacancies for Artificer Apprentice (AA) and 400 vacancies for Matric Recruit (MR). The SSR and AA recruitment are for courses commencing in August 2019, while the MR recruitment is for course commencing in October 2019, next year. The online application process was originally scheduled to begin on 14th December 2018, last week, however, due to administrative reasons, the same was postponed with a note from the Indian Navy that read, ‘Online application dates for SSR, MR Aug 2019 and AA 146 batches, has been postponed due to administrative reasons. Firm dates will be published on this website & newspapers. Inconvenience caused is regretted.’ However, candidates aspiring a career with the Indian Navy have a reason to rejoice as the application process has resumed shortly. Step 1 – Visit the official website – https://www.joinindiannavy.gov.in Step 2 – Click on the ‘Current Events’ tab Step 3 – Click on ‘Online applications SSR, MR Aug 2019 and AA 146 batches will be open until 30 Dec 18’ Step 4 – Click on ‘Apply Online’ tab Step 5 – Register yourself and fill the application form Step 6 – Complete the application process and download the confirmation page Step 7 – Take a printout for further reference Direct Link for Indian Navy Sailor Recruitment 2018 for 3400 Sailor Posts Senior Secondary Recruit (SSR) – The applicant must have passed Class 12th with subjects of Mathematics & Physics and at least one of these subjects: Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science from an education board recognized by MHRD, Government of India. Artificer Apprentice (AA) – The applicant must have passed Class 12th with minimum 60% or more marks in aggregate with Mathematics & Physics and at least one of these subjects: Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science from an education board recognized by MHRD, Government of India. Matric Recruit (MR) – The applicant must have passed matriculation examination from an education board recognized by MHRD, Government of India. Selection Process: The selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of a merit list prepared from their performance in Computer-based examination, subject to qualifying the Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and Medical Exam.
