IIT Mandi Invites Applications For Short-Term Certificate Programmes In Machine Learning And IOT Based Automation

The courses are open to Engineering, BCA, MCA, ITI, Polytechnic, Teachers, Trainers and Working Professionals.

Mandi: The Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) at the Indian Institute of Technology Mandi in collaboration with Himachal Pradesh Kaushal Vikas Nigam (HPKVN) is set to launch multiple training programmes from January 15, 2024. These free-of-cost programmes aim to provide valuable skills and knowledge to participants, fostering professional development and contributing to the overall advancement of education and vocational training in the region.

Speaking about the training programmes being offered by the institute, Prof. Tushar Jain, Head, Centre for Continuing Education (CCE), IIT Mandi, said, “These programmes are being sponsored by HPKVN, Shimla in collaboration with IIT Mandi and will be a great opportunity for the youth of Himachal to experience studying at IIT Mandi under the guidance of senior faculty and get practical exposure on advance IIT‘s Labs along with Placement support.”

The courses are open to Engineering, BCA, MCA, ITI, Polytechnic, Teachers, Trainers and Working Professionals. The duration of the course will be one month. The registration for these free offline courses have already started and will continue till 12th January 2024.

The focus of these programmes will be on soft skills, English speaking, interview preparation, personality development, group discussions, entrepreneurship skills, and startup support will be provided for holistic development and career success of the candidates.

Certification In Machine Learning Programme

In this certification programmes, the student will learn Mathematical Foundations, Python Programming, Statistical Foundations and Visualization Data, Visualization and Pre-processing Machine, Learning and Applications and others areas.

Certification In Internet Of Things-based Automation Programme

In this training programmes, candidates will be given domain sessions on Python Programming, Android Application Development, Web Development, Computer Vision, and over 10 IOT Projects.

These elements will help the candidates not only learning theoretical concepts but are also gaining practical skills that are directly applicable in the industry. The combination of programming, application development, web development, and hands-on lab sessions prepares them for a diverse set of challenges they may encounter in the IoT field.
