IIT Kanpur’s SIIC Introduces Hindi Publication Division To Empower Startups, Break Language Barriers

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Prof. Abhay Karandikar, Director of IIT Kanpur, Deputy Director Prof. S Ganesh, Prof. Ankush Sharma and others.

The Startup Incubation and Innovation Centre (SIIC), the technology business incubator of IIT Kanpur has launched its Hindi Publication Division. This division aims to make SIIC IIT Kanpur's innovative work accessible to a wider audience by sharing groundbreaking research and initiatives in Hindi. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Prof. Abhay Karandikar, Director of IIT Kanpur, Deputy Director Prof. S Ganesh, Prof. Ankush Sharma, Dr. Nikhil Agarwal, Professor Amitabha Bandyopadhyay, and Mr. Piyush Mishra.

The Hindi Publication Division's primary objective is to minimize the language barrier in accessing technical information related to startups and innovation. It provides a platform for non-English speakers to readily access and understand technical knowledge. Moreover, it aims to encourage technical translation efforts and facilitate the dissemination of technical knowledge in Hindi. This initiative aligns with The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which focuses on making technical knowledge more accessible through Hindi.

SIIC IIT Kanpur has consistently been at the forefront of driving groundbreaking advancements and transforming ideas into successful ventures. The Hindi Division will serve as a dedicated platform for sharing information about SIIC IIT Kanpur's innovative projects, cutting-edge research, startup success stories, and entrepreneurial endeavors. This expansion ensures that individuals with varying degrees of technical knowledge can comprehend and appreciate the impact of SIIC IIT Kanpur's innovative work.

Recognizing the paramount significance of promoting innovation and nurturing a vibrant startup ecosystem among individuals of diverse backgrounds, Prof. Abhay Karandikar, Director of IIT Kanpur, applauds the initiative. In line with this vision, the Hindi Publication Division at SIIC IIT Kanpur is committed to imparting technical knowledge in Hindi. The objective is to connect with individuals throughout India and motivate them to embark on entrepreneurial pursuits, thus fostering an inclusive ecosystem. Prof. Ankush Sharma, Professor-in-Charge, SIIC, IIT Kanpur, shared his experience in spearheading the establishment of the Hindi Publication Division. He emphasized the division's underlying mission to foster connectivity and empowerment within grassroots communities.

The Hindi Publication Division of SIIC IIT Kanpur goes beyond providing a platform for accessing technical knowledge in Hindi.
