The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) will close the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM 2024) correction facility on November 30. The Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM 2024) is the gateway to several programs such as MSc, MSc Tech, MS Research, MSc-MTech dual degree, Joint MSc-PhD, MSc-PhD dual degree in IITs and other participating institutes. The correction window for JAM 2024 is active on joaps.iitm.ac.in. Candidates have the option to modify details like examination cities, test papers, category, or gender by paying a fee of Rs 300, along with any applicable differences in the application fee. Additionally, those interested in changing their category or gender can do so by paying extra fees.
“Applicants belonging to EWS/OBC-NCL category should submit a valid category certificate on or before December 20, 2023. If you are not able to upload a valid EWS / OBC-NCL Category Certificate in the portal within the given deadline, your category will be automatically changed to general category and will not be rejected,” the institute said.
IIT JAM 2024 Correction Window: Steps To Make Changes
Here are the steps to make changes during the IIT JAM 2024 correction window:
Step 1: Visit the Official Website of JAM 2024 at joaps.iitm.ac.in.
Step 2: Use your credentials to log in to your account created during the application process.
Step 3: Look for the option or link indicating "Correction Window" or "Edit Application."
Step 4: Select the details you wish to modify, such as examination cities, test papers, category, or gender.
Step 5: For each change, if applicable, pay the prescribed fee of Rs 300. If altering category or gender, pay the additional fees accordingly.
Step 6: After making the necessary modifications and payments, review the changes and submit the updated information.

Step 7: Save or print a copy of the updated application or confirmation page for future reference.
