IIM Sirmaur Launches PG Programme For Executives On Leadership In Smart Manufacturing

IIM Sirmaur has launched PGPEX in Leadership in Smart Manufacturing with RWTH Aachen University, Germany, to train senior professionals for Industry 4.0. Programme starts January 2025.

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Sirmaur has introduced a Post Graduate Programme for Executives (PGPEX) focused on "Leadership in Smart Manufacturing" (LSM). This innovative programme, developed in collaboration with the esteemed RWTH Aachen University in Germany, is designed to equip senior professionals with the expertise needed to lead in the Industry 4.0 era.

The PGPEX-LSM programme addresses the increasing demand for leaders adept at navigating the complexities of smart manufacturing. It combines rigorous academic coursework with practical industry insights, ensuring that experienced professionals gain a comprehensive understanding of the latest technologies, strategies, and leadership practices. The curriculum covers advancements in smart manufacturing, including automation, digital transformation, AI, IoT, and sustainable manufacturing practices.

Professor (Dr.) Prafulla Agnihotri, Director of IIM Sirmaur, remarked, “We are proud to launch the PGPEX-LSM in collaboration with RWTH Aachen University. This programme underscores our commitment to providing world-class education and fostering global partnerships. We believe that our graduates will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of smart manufacturing.”

As part of the PGPEX-LSM programme, participants will have the opportunity to attend a module at RWTH Aachen University, gaining first-hand exposure to advanced manufacturing facilities and best practices in Germany.
