ICAR AIEEA PG, AICE-PhD Exam Dates 2024 Expected Soon, AIQ UG Registrations Underway On exams.nta.ac.in

The ICAR is expected to conduct the AIEEA PG, AICE PHD Exams somewhere in mid June 2024.

The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) is likely to announce the dates for the ICAR AIEEA (PG) and AICE (PhD) exams 2024 soon on its official website - icar.org.in. While the ICAR is yet to make an announcement, it is speculated that the ICAR AIEEE (PG) and AICE (PhD) Exams 2024 will be held somewhere in mid June 2024. 

While interested aspirants who wish to enroll in postgraduate and doctoral agricultural programmes might have to wait a little more for an official confirmation, the online registration process for the ICAR All India Quota (AIQ) undergraduate seats through CUET-UG 2024 is underway on exams.nta.ac.in. The last date to submit registration cum application forms for the CUET-UG 2024 is March 26, 2024. 

Notably, the ICAR (Indian Council of Agricultural Research) conducts the AIEEA PG and AICE-JRF/SRF Exams to screen suitable and eligible candidates for admissions into Postgraduate and Research (PhD) programs in Agriculture Studies offered by various agriculture institutions, colleges and universities across the country.

Through the AIEEA PG Exam, the ICAR fills 100% postgraduate seats in four ICAR-deemed universities namely, Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI), National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI) and Central Institute of Fisheries Education (CIFE). PG seats in three Central Agricultural Universities (CAUs): CAU, Imphal, Dr. RPCAU, Pusa and RLBCAU, Jhansi) are also filled through the AIEEA PG exam. 

On the other hand, admissions into undergraduate agricultural programmes offered by various Agriculture Universities across the country under the ICAR-AU (Agricultural universities) is offered through the CUET-UG Exam. At present, there are 12 different UG agricultural programmes offered by various Universities/ Institutes under the ICAR-AU system. 

“In 2024-25, All India Entrance Examination for Admission, CUET (ICAR-UG) shall be conducted for admission to Bachelor Degree programs in Agriculture and Allied Sciences (other than Veterinary Sciences), at Agricultural Universities on 20% of the University seats [100% seats in RLBCAU, Jhansi; Dr. RPCAU Pusa, Bihar; ICAR-NDRI, Karnal; ICAR-IARI, New Delhi and its hubs,” reads a notice on the official ICAR website in this regard.
