Candidates are required to possess a valid passport at the time of taking the GMAT exam. Furthermore, candidates should hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Notably, individuals in their final year of undergraduate studies or professionals already employed are also eligible to participate in the GMAT exam for the year 2023.

In the current focus edition, the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) has implemented changes to the GMAT exam structure, including a reduction in the exam duration by one hour. This edition features three sections, each lasting 45 minutes. Notably, this version of the exam does not include the essay writing component.

The GMAT exam has also undergone enhancements, introducing a question review and edit option for candidates. Furthermore, examinees now have the flexibility to select the order of the sections in the paper according to their preferences.

Additionally, a revision has been made to the GMAT syllabus. Specifically, the sentence correction section has been eliminated, while a new segment titled Data Insights (DI) has been introduced, as indicated in the GMAT Focus Edition syllabus.
