Lok Sabha Polls 2019: The schedule for General Elections 2019 is out, as per which, Raigarh and Sindhudurg will go for polls on 23rd April 2019 while Mumbai Metropolitan Region will vote on 29th April 2019. The Mumbai University is used as a polling booth for elections in Maharashtra, and the premises are reserved for elections for three consecutive days, including a day prior to and a day following the voting day. Also, a majority of lecturers and other staff are engaged in the election process for smooth conduct. The Mumbai University Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) Examinations for the first half of Summer 2019 are scheduled to begin on 22nd April 2019 and most of the exams will conclude by 30th April 2019 as per the timetables available on the official website of Mumbai University – mu.ac.in. However, given that the election dates also fall in this period, it is highly likely that the University of Mumbai will reschedule the April 2019 examinations that coincide with the General Elections 2019 dates in the state of Maharashtra. Students who are gearing up for Mumbai University April 2019 Examinations must keep a watch on the official website to know the revised exam dates. General Elections 2019 are coinciding with many other state Common Entrance Tests (CETs) including GujCET 2019 and Karnataka CET 2019. On the other hand, IIT JEE Advanced 2019 that is scheduled to be held on 19th May 2019 is also clashing with the last phase of polls across eight states in the country. Rescheduling of all these exams cannot be ruled out! GujCET / Karnataka CET 2019 set to clash with Lok Sabha elections, reschedule expected soon!
