GATE 2025 Registration Begins On August 24, Check Exam Pattern And Other Details

GATE 2025: According to the schedule, the registration process for the GATE examination will begin on August 24, 2024.

GATE 2025: The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering, GATE is an entrance examination that evaluates students in various undergraduate-level subjects in Engineering, Architecture, Science, Commerce, Arts, and Humanities. This year, the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee will organise the GATE 2025 examination. According to the schedule, the registration process for the GATE 2025 examination will begin on August 24, 2024. Interested students can participate in the registration process through the official website at gate2025.iitr.ac.in. The GATE 2025 examination is scheduled to be conducted on February 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025.

Students who qualify for the GATE 2025 examination can seek admission with possible financial assistance to Master’s programmes and direct Doctoral programmes in Engineering/ Technology/ Science/ Architecture/ Humanities and Doctoral programmes in relevant branches of Engineering/ Technology/ Science/ Architecture/ Humanities, in the institutions supported by the MoE and other Government agencies.

GATE 2025: Exam Pattern

Students can check the GATE 2025 exam pattern below:

  • Mode of examination: Computer-based test
  • Total duration of the exam: 3 hours
  • Number of sections: 2
  • Type of questions: Multiple choice questions, multiple select questions and numerical answer type questions
  • Number of papers: 30
  • Number of questions: 65 questions (including 10 questions from General Aptitude)
  • Total marks: 100
  • Marking scheme: Questions will be worth 1 or 2 marks

GATE 2025: Marking Scheme

Students can check the GATE 2025 marking scheme below:

  • 1 mark MCQs: 1/3 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer
  • 2 mark MCQs: 2/3 mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer
  • Zero marks will be awarded for unattempted questions.
  • No negative marking will be done for numerical answer type (NAT) questions
