GATE 2024: Application Process Begins Today On gate2024.iisc.ac.in - Here’s How To Apply

As per the official schedule, the IISC Bangalore will conduct the GATE 2024 Exam from February 3 to February 11, 2024.

The Indian Institute of Science Bangalore will start the application process for GATE 2024 Exam today. Interested and eligible candidates will be able to apply for GATE 2024 shortly on the official website - gate2024.iisc.ac.in. The GATE 2024 Application Window will close on September 29, 2023. However, those who miss the GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) 2024 Application Deadline would still be able to apply for the exam till October 13 with a late fine of Rs 500. 

Candidates may note that the GATE 2024 Application Fee is Rs. 900 for Female, SC, and ST candidates, and Rs 1,800 for all other candidates. Candidates who have completed their undergraduate degree in Engineering/ Technology/ Science/ Architecture/ and Humanities can apply for the GATE 2024 Exam. Those studying in the third year of their undergraduate programmes at present can also apply for the exam. While the previous year’s GATE eligibility criteria also included Commerce in the subject list, the same has been removed from the list this year. 

Notably, the IISC Bangalore is the organizing institute for the GATE 2024 Exam. The IISC Bangalore will conduct the GATE 2024 Exam on February 3, 4, 10, and 11, 2024. Admit cards for the exam will be released by January 3, 2024, while the GATE 2024 Results are scheduled to be released by March 16, 2023. Candidates may also note that following the closure of the GATE 2024 application window, the IISC Bangalore will also host the GASTE 2024 Application Correction Window on the official website from November 7 to 11, 2023. 

Candidates may also note that the IISC Bangalore will be conducting the GATE 2024 Exams at exam centres located in India only. The international exam centres of the GATE Exam have been withdrawn for 2024. The IISC notified on its official website that foreign national and nRIs residing outside India can apply for the GATE 2024 Exam, but they will be required to choose an exam centre in India only.
