DU UG, PG Admission Through CUET 2023, Check Important Notice

DU Admission 2023: Delhi University has decided that UG, PG admissions will be conducted on the basis of CUET scores.

The University of Delhi has released an important notice regarding admission for the academic year 2023-24. As per the notice, Admissions to UG and PG courses will be through CUET next year. The notice is available on the official site of DU at admission.uod.ac.in. The varsity in the notice stated that admissions for undergraduate and postgraduate programs will be conducted on the basis of the Common University Entrance Test, CUET score. 

''The executive council of the University of Delhi at its meeting held on 8th December 2022 resolved that with effect from the Academic Session 2023-23, admissions, both at the undergraduate and postgraduate level, including those under reserved category and minority quota will be carried out centrally, solely on the basis of Common University Entrance Test (CUET) score.'' the notice reads.

Earlier on December 22, the University Grants Commission (UGC) announced the Common University Entrance Test, Undergraduate (CUET-UG), and Postgraduate (CUET-PG) examination dates. The CUET UG exam will be conducted between May 21 to 31, 2023 and the CUET PG examination will be conducted between June 1 to June 10, 2023. 

The medium of examination will be in 13 languages- Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telegu, and Urdu. 

The number of subjects and pattern of question papers will remain the same. A candidate can take as many as 6 Domain subjects in addition to one/two languages and the general test.

In addition to this, UGC also announced that CUET-UG results are planned to be released in the third week of June 2023 and those of CUET-PG in the first week of July 2023. The academic session is expected to begin from August 1, 2023, onwards.
