DU Admission 2021: Over 36,000 Students Admitted In Delhi University's First Cut-Off List

The admission process for UG programs is underway at Delhi University. More than 36,000 students have been admitted under the first cut-off list so far. The second cut-off will be released today.

The admission process to undergraduate courses at Delhi University is underway. In the first cutoff list, the admission process of 36,130 students has been completed so far. With this, more than half of the seats in university colleges have also been filled.

More than 60,000 applications were received in the first cut-off list

Delhi University released the first cut-off list on October 1, 2021. The university had received 60,904 applications for the first cut-off. Eight colleges had pegged their cut-offs at 100 percent for 10 courses in the first list. According to official data, the admission process for the list ended at 11.59 pm on Friday and was also the last day for making payments. Till this time, 36,130 students had paid their fees.

Admission in top programs likely to stop after first list
This year’s cutoffs for 94 programs across all universities are set at 99 percent or above. Because of the inflated Board results, DU received over 9,200 applications from students with 100 percent marks from various school boards this year. Therefore, the admissions to many top programs may stop only after the first list.

DU Admission to 70,000 seats for UG courses

Delhi University has 70,000 seats in university colleges for undergraduate courses (UG). The university's second cut-off list will be released on Saturday, today. Principals estimate that the decline in cut-off marks won't be more than 0.5 percent to 1 percent.
