DU Admission 2021: Over 13,000 Students Enrolled In DU Under Second Cut-Off List

DU UG Admission 2021: More than 13,000 students have secured their admissions under the second cut-off list at Delhi University, while more than 1.15 lakh applications have been received so far.

DU UG Admission 2021: More than 13,000 students have enrolled in Delhi University under the second cut-off list. Till now the university has received more than 1.15 lakh applications. 36,130 students have secured their admissions under the first list. According to data shared by Delhi University, 13,552 students have paid fees while 7,245 applications have been approved by principals. The university has received a total of 1,15,490 applications since the commencement of the admission process on October 4 under the first cut-off list.

DU Admission 2021 dates-

  • The approval to be completed by colleges under 2nd cut-off - 14 October 2021 till 5 pm
  • Fee payment by candidates against 2nd cut-off list - 15 October 2021 till 5 pm
  • DU 3rd cut-off list to be released - 16 October 2021
  • DU Admission against 3rd cut-off list starts - 18 October 2021, at 10 am

Indraprastha College for Women likely to fill seats for many courses:
According to Dr Babli Moitra Saraf, principal of Indraprastha College for Women, they are likely to fill up most of the unreserved seats in several courses, while BA(Honours) Sanskrit is likely to remain open in the third list. The college has filled nearly half of more than 1300 seats in the first list, while the total number is now 900. Wednesday was the last date of application while Thursday i.e. today will be the last day for colleges to give approvals. Friday is the last day to make the fee payment.

Hindu College - Course closed for General Category in 3rd list:
Hindu College admission convenor Manish Kansal said the total number of admissions in the college has reached 1,843. He added, "We have filled up the unreserved seats in B.Com (Honours) while there is a gap of almost seven seats in BA (Honours) Economics. We have taken 101 admissions against 79 seats in B.Com (Honours) and out of these 75 admissions are in the unreserved category which has 31 seats. The course is likely to be closed for the general category in the third list while Economics (Honours) might be open."

Admission slot on several course seats in Aryabhatta College has also stopped:
English (Honours), History (Honours), Computer Science (Honours), Mathematics (Honours), Economics (Honours), BA Prog at Aryabhatta College are likely to get closed in the second list. Admissions in these subjects have already crossed the seat limit. At Rajdhani College, 788 admissions have taken place under the two lists, including 565 that have been approved under the second list by the principal.
