Delhi Nursery Admission 2024-25: The application process for admission will start tomorrow.

The Directorate of Education (DoE) will start the registration process for Delhi Nursery admissions 2024-25 in private unaided recognised from tomorrow, November 23. The admission schedule and application guidelines for open seats (excluding EWS, DG, CWSN category seats) were issued in October. Parents can apply for nursery admissions 2024-25 in Delhi by paying a non-refundable fee of Rs 25 via the official website at edudel.nic.in. The deadline for submitting the application form is December 15.

Private unaided recognized schools enrolling children in pre-school, pre-primary, and Class-1 are mandated to allocate 25% of seats for EWS, DG, and children with disabilities. The DoE has instructed these schools to ensure that the minimum number of seats for entry-level admissions matches or exceeds the highest count of seats offered in entry-level classes over the last three years (2021-23). Schools are required to upload their admission criteria and disclose the initial list of selected candidates along with their respective points earned by January 12, 2024.

Delhi Nursery Admissions 2024 Eligibility Criteria

According to the eligibility criteria, children should be 3 years old for pre-school, 4 years old for pre-primary, and 5 years old for class 1 admissions as of March 31st. The official notice further states, "Age relaxation for admission of up to 30 days may be granted at the level of the head of school in the minimum and upper-age limits for these classes."

Following the release of the first admission list on January 12, 2024, schools will address parental queries from January 13 to January 22, 2023. The notification specifies that parents seeking age relaxation can approach the head of the school or principal and submit a manual application for consideration.
