"The STF has made several revelations regarding the CSIR-NET exam. Based on confidential information, the UPSTF conducted a search operation at the examination center of Subharti University. During the search, an extra admin computer was found in the server room of the examination lab via the local area network, along with two laptops that had AnyDesk remote access tools installed," says UP STF chief Amitabh Yash.
"One person has been arrested in connection with the case, and four others, who were candidates for the exam, have been detained. Interrogation of these individuals is ongoing," he further added.
The CSIR-NET exam was conducted in two batches. The first batch was conducted from 9 am to 12 pm. During this batch, the STF team raided the university and seized the server. This was the second time the CSIR-NET exam has been scheduled this year. The previous exam was cancelled due to reports of a question paper leak. The CSIR NET examination is conducted to determine eligibility for Junior Research Fellowships and Assistant Professor positions.
