CLAT 2025 Paper Analysis: Easier To Moderate Difficulty Observed

According to Career Launcher, The CLAT 2025 exam was conducted with a difficulty level slightly easier than the previous year. It followed the same section-wise question distribution as CLAT 2024, with 120 questions to be answered in 2 hours. Candidates aiming for top NLUs are expected to score between 92 and 100 marks to secure admission.

For the second year in a row, the exam pattern remained unchanged. The paper’s overall difficulty level was categorized as easy to moderate, reflecting a reduction in complexity compared to the previous year. This trend provided candidates with a balanced opportunity to score well across sections.

The English Language section featured 20-21 manageable questions, maintaining an easy to moderate difficulty level. This section was slightly easier compared to CLAT 2024, offering a good scoring opportunity for candidates. Similarly, the Current Affairs and General Knowledge section included 20-21 doable questions, with a noticeable drop of 2-3 questions from last year’s paper.

The Legal Reasoning section stood out for its ease, with all 32 questions considered doable. As this section is often used as a tie-breaker, its accessibility could prove advantageous for candidates. The Logical Reasoning section had 16-18 doable questions, though an incorrect question set posed minor challenges for test-takers.

The Quantitative Techniques section was moderately challenging, with a lengthy set limiting the number of manageable questions to 5-6. Candidates needed to allocate their time effectively to navigate this section.

Overall, CLAT 2025’s reduced difficulty level provided candidates with an opportunity to perform well, especially in sections like Legal Reasoning and English. Time management and precision were key to achieving a competitive score.
