Class 10th Board Exams In Tamil Nadu From June 1st

The class 10th board exams in Tamil Nadu are scheduled to begin from June 1.

New Delhi: The class 10th board exams in Tamil Nadu which were postponed due to the outbreak of Coronavirus has been scheduled to begin from June 1st and will go on till June 12th. All necessary precautions will be taken to make sure social distancing is maintained during the examinations. Class 12th and Class 11th had one subject left each, they will be held on June 4th and June 2nd respectively. According to a new report, School Education Minister K.A. Sengottaiyan of the state said that the class 12th answer scripts will be evaluated 27th May onwards. Meanwhile, CBSE has said that the class 10th & 12th board exams will be conducted from July 1st onwards up until July 15th. The board has listed out the precautions to curb the spread of coronavirus, while it is expected to peak during June and July. It will be compulsory to wear masks for students and hand sanitizers will be provided at each hall. Gloves are not made compulsory as it can pose are a problem for students while writing instead they will be expected to apply hand sanitizers regularly. 12 students will be seated in each half instead of the usual 24, and a 20-hour gap will be maintained before each use of the hall, the schools will also be asked to sanitize the halls thoroughly. In Chandigarh, according to a TOI report, compartment exams which were scheduled to be held on May 15th has been postponed until further notice. The board has said that it will announce the new dates a week before the exams. According to a PTI report, former Human Resource Development Minister Kapil Sibal on Sunday said either all students barring those in Class 12 be promoted or an internal assessment mechanism is put in place to save them from examination stress next year due to the uncertainty looming over the 2020-2021 academic session of schools in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
