The updated Indian School Certificate (ISC) curriculum can now be accessed on the Council’s official website — cisce.org — under the ‘Library (Publications)’ section.

The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has announced revisions to the Class 11 and 12 syllabus for several major subjects, effective from the upcoming academic cycle.

The syllabus has been revised in subjects such as physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics, commerce, accounts, history, geography, political science, sociology, psychology, and legal studies for Class 12 students appearing for the 2025 board exams. No changes have been made to the syllabus of other subjects.

For Class 11 students entering the 2024-25 academic year, revisions have been introduced only in Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, and History.

The updated Indian School Certificate (ISC) curriculum can now be accessed on the Council’s official website — cisce.org — under the ‘Library (Publications)’ section.

CISCE has directed all school principals to disseminate the information regarding these syllabus changes to students, teachers, and parents to facilitate effective academic planning.

Meanwhile, the ICSE Class 10 board exams concluded on March 27, and the ISC Class 12 exams wrapped up on April 5. The Council has stated that the results for both the ICSE and ISC exams will be declared in May 2025 and will be available only on the official website.

In a significant change, students from both classes will now be permitted to appear for improvement exams in up to two subjects within the same academic year. However, starting with the 2024 session, Class 10 compartment exams have been discontinued.

In comparison, for the 2024 academic cycle, the ICSE exams ended on March 28 and the ISC on April 3, with results announced on May 6.
