CEED 2024: Registrations Begin On ceed.iitb.ac.in, Apply By October 31

The IIT Bombay will conduct the CEED 2024 Exam on January 21, 2024.

The Indian Institute of Bombay (IIT Bombay) has started accepting applications for CEED 2024. Interested and eligible candidates who wish to appear for the CEED (Common Entrance Exam for Design) exam can submit their registration cum application forms for the recruitment on the official website - ceed.iitb.ac.in. The last date to submit applications for the CEED 2024 Exam is October 31, 2023. However, candidates who miss the deadline would still be able to apply for the prestigious design entrance test till November 8, 2023, with a late fine of Rs 500. 

CEED 2024: Application Fee And Eligibility

Candidates may note that the CEED 2024 Application Fee for female, SC, ST, and PwD candidates is Rs 1,900. All other candidates will be required to pay an application fee of Rs 3,800 while applying for CEED 2024. Those candidates who have completed their degree or postgraduate degree programmes from a recognised university as well as those who will be appearing for their final year examinations by July 2024, are eligible to apply for CEED 2024. Candidates who have either completed or will be completing their GD Arts diploma programme (10+5 level) by July 2024 are also eligible to apply. 

However, candidates must note that the eligibility criteria of various participating institutes in the CEED 2024 Exam may vary from each other. Therefore, candidates are advised to carefully check the detailed eligibility criteria of the desired institute they wish to seek admission in. The CEED Score is valid for a period of one year from the date of issuance.

What Is The CEED Exam?

Notably, the CEED is a national-level exam conducted by the IITs (Indian Institutes of Technology) to shortlist suitable candidates for admissions into their postgraduate design programmes. The IIT Bombay is the conducting institute for the CEED 2024 Exam. 

The CEED serves as a qualifying examination examination for admissions into M.Design programmes at IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Jodhpur, IIT Kanpur, IIT Roorkee, IIITDM Jabalpur and PhD programmes at several IITs and design schools.

When Is The CEED 2024 Exam?

As per the official schedule, the CEED 2024 will be conducted on January 21, 2024 from 9:00 am - 12:00 noon. The exam paper will consist of two parts where Part-A will be held from 9:00 am to 10:00, and Part-B from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon. While the Part-a paper shall consist of objective type questions, candidates will be required to answer the questions of Part-B in the answer book provided. The combined total marks for both the parts of the CEED 2024 shall be 200.   • On the homepage, click on the CEED 2024 Registration Portal
  • Register online using your basic details
  • Fill in the application form online 
  • Upload relevant documents and pay the application fee
  • Submit the application form
  • Download the application confirmation page for future reference
