CBSE Class 12 Evaluation: Students With Unsatisfactory Results Can Appear For Exams; Know Details

Earlier, CBSE had announced that it will conduct the exams for the private candidates from August 16 to September 15, 2021.

New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Monday said that the board will organise exams for the students who are not satisfied with their CBSE Class 12 results 2021 along with the private category of candidates. An official notification regarding this decision has been uploaded on the official website of the board at cbse.gov.in.

As per the notification, CBSE also informed that the examination will be held according to the “Policy for Tabulation of Marks For Class 12, 2021”, released by the board. It further said that the exams will be held for the “students who are not able to meet the qualifying criteria in one subject and placed in compartment category”.

“As CBSE is conducting the examinations only in main subjects in Class 12, hence, results of the subjects whose examination is not being conducted will be prepared based on the assessment policy approved by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in 2020, wherever applicable,” reads the official notification.

“However, this scheme will not be applicable for the candidates registered for the improvement of performance in one or more subjects,” it adds.

Earlier, the board had announced that it will conduct the exams for the private candidates from August 16 to September 15, 2021.

Private candidates are those who were the CBSE regular students and have failed to qualify in the first or second attempt and would like to re-appear in the CBSE board examination for passing or improving their scores.
