AILET 2023 Result: Merit List Tie-Breaker Rules

The AILERT 2023 All-India Rank List (Merit List) has also been released by NLU Delhi. The premier law university prepares the final rank list based on the marks scored by candidates in the entrance exam. However, in case of tie-breakers (when two or more candidates score the same number of marks) the university follows a specified mechanism as given below, to break the tie, and decide the rank order:

  • Candidates with higher marks in Legal Aptitude get the higher rank
  • If the tie still persists, candidates are ranked based on seniority
  • If the tie still persists, a computerised draw is done to decide the rank order
