2nd PUC Result 2020 HIGHLIGHTS: Girls Outshine Boys, 69.20% Students Pass The Exams; Udupi Records Highest Pass Percentage
Karnataka 2nd PUC Result 2020 has been declared by the PUE Board. The students received the messages on their registered mobile phones. The PUE Board would be releasing the dates for the supplementary exams soon. The students who could not pass in the subjects need to appear for the supplementary exams to level their scores.
Now that the 2nd PUC Results have been announced the Karnataka SSLC students are awaiting the results of exams conducted between June 25 to July 3, 2020.
The students would be able to check their results in the month of August as per the education minister on kseeb.kar.nic.in.
The next session for these students is expected to begin by August while fresh admissions and sessions will begin from September. Earlier, these sessions start by July by this year it has been postponded amid the rising cases of Coronavirus infection.
Students can get their results via SMS also. Type KAR12Registration number and send it to 56263.
Karnataka Education minister S Suresh Kumar has congratulated the entire PUC team for managing exams wonderfully. The results were declared just in time and the exams were conducted with full precautions even in the time of the pandemic. There were 70 evaluation centers in Karnataka, where the teachers carried out the evaluation of copies.
Science result this year is 76.20% followed by the commerce stream students registering a pass percentage of 65.52%. The least results have been achieved by the Arts field with 41.27% of students only.
These years pass percentage is higher than that registered last year. It was 61.73 per cent in 2019 but it has been declared to be 69.20%. The number of repeaters is 91,025 this year.
Among all the districts in the state, highest pass percentage has been registered at Udupi and Dakshin Kannada districts. In each of the districts, 90.71% of total students have passed this year.
Of the total 5,56,267 students who took the Karnataka 2nd PUC exam this year, 68,866 have secured distinction. This means these students have scored above 85% in the PUC exam.

The Karnataka 2nd PUC results have been declared by the PUE Board now. The students have received the messages on their registered mobile phones and can check the marks on the official websites after 12 pm .

Last year the toppers were from Bengaluru. The science stream top three ranks had been dominated by students from this city. The First rank went to Rajath Kashyap who scored 594 marks followed by Divya K with 593 marks. The 2nd PUC Results would be available in a short while now. However, the SSLC Exam 2020 Results would be delayed as there has been a lockdown announcement in Bengaluru till July 22, 2020, now due to the rising number of COVID cases.
Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka, Dr Ashwathnarayan CN has wished his best to the candidates who appeared in the 2nd PUC Exam 2020. He asked students to, “Boldly deal with the outcome. These points do not determine life. I appeal to students and parents to be positive.”
The results are expected within an hour now.
After the declaration of the Karnataka 2nd PUC result, students can also apply for revaluation of their exam result. Details regarding this will be announced by the Board on its official website.
The students who appeared for all the papers in the First PU Examination but had failed in some subjects would be given general promotion this year. The education minister of the state informed this. He also added that the students who couldn’t appear for anyone of the exams due to health or other issues would be allowed to appear once the colleges reopen.
The 2nd PUC Results 2020 could be checked on the official website pue.kar.nic.in and karresults.nic.in. Apart from these, the candidates can check their marks on the following third-party websites too- manabadi.co.in, results.gov.in, schools9.com. The students have to enter their roll numbers and other details in the required areas to view their results.
Students should download the Karnataka 2nd PUC result mark sheet immediately and take its printout. Official documents supporting the result will be issued by the Board after the result declaration. Students can also download it via DigiLocker
State Education Minister S. Suresh Kumar has said that the 2nd PUC result will be sent to students through SMS. There is no need for students to come to colleges to see their results, he said.

The Karnataka Primary and Secondary Education Minister S Suresh Kumar announced on Monday that the students who appeared for all the papers in the First PU Examination but had failed in some subjects will be given general promotion.
“Our state is the first in south India to announce the PUC result. The results of 6.75 lakh students will be announced on Tuesday,” the minister said.
He said the supplementary examination has been cancelled.
