At least 125 bomb threat calls were received from various schools from 5.47 am to 2.13 pm on Wednesday, PTI said in the report, citing an official source who has access to the FIR.
After receiving the calls, PCR vehicles rushed to schools along with the Bomb Detection Squad, district police, Special Cell and Crime Control Room. Several other agencies including the DDMA, NDRF, and Fire CATS were also alerted.

"The emails were apparently sent with the conspiratorial intention of creating mass panic and to disturb public," the source told PTI.
The FIR has been registered under IPC sections 505 (2) (statements creating or promoting enmity, hatred or ill-will between classes), 507 (criminal intimidation by an anonymous communication), and 120 (B) (punishment of criminal conspiracy) at Special Cell Police Station in Delhi.

Although it triggered massive evacuations and searches with parents rushing to pick their children from schools, nothing was found during the searches by the authorities. The threat also turned out to be hoax.
