A woman was injured in a firing incident at a court in Delhi's Saket.
An incident of firing has been reported at a court in Delhi's Saket. A woman has been injured in the incident. Police have reached the spot, news agency ANI reported. Teams of officials from the crime branch and Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) have reached the spot and are inspecting the spot. The visuals show a woman crying as others continue to press the area around her stomach where possibly she sustained injury from the bullet.

The shooter is said to be a suspended lawyer, identified as Kameshwar Kumar Singh. He fired four rounds and three of them hit the woman. One bullet hit the secretary (munshi) of a lawyer. Police said that both woman and the secretary are out of danger.
Chandan Chowdhary, DCP South to reporters, "An FIR was registered in December in which the victim of today's incident is accused. The woman had taken money from the person (shooter) on the promise of doubling it, and both of them had come to the court related to the matter. Several other cases of fraud are also lodged against the woman. The man was an advocate here for a long time and was in his uniform at the time of the incident."
"The man fired 4 rounds in which 3 bullets hit the woman and one scribe. The condition of both is stable and both have been discharged from the hospital. There is no lapse in the security system of Delhi Police. Though we will strengthen it," she added.

On September 24 last year, reported ANI, two gunmen dressed as lawyers fired inside Delhi's Rohini court. The gunmen were killed in police firing. The two attackers, Rahul Tyagi and Jagdeep Jagga allegedly posed as lawyers to enter the courtroom and fired multiple bullets at gangster Jitender Maan alias Gogi. Police personnel retaliated to the firing and allegedly killed the two on the spot.
In another firing incident in April last year, following a scuffle between two advocates and their one client, an incident of gun firing took place at the Rohini court. As per a report in ANI, a constable of the Nagaland Armed Police (NAP) deployed at the court opened fire on the ground.
