Fire Breaks Out In BJP's Delhi State Office, Fire Tenders Rushed To Spot

A fire broke out in BJP's Delhi State Office at Pandit Pant Marg in the national capital on Thursday afternoon. According to the officials, they received a call around 4.25 pm reporting a fire incident at the BJP head office in Pandit Pant Marg.

Visuals from the area showed smoke emanating from the BJP's office. No casualties were reported during the incident, officials said.
The Delhi Fire Service official said that three fire tenders were pressed into service. The official added that the fire was brought under control within a few minutes.
Moreover, the police was further informed to investigate the matter. The NDMC electric staff and fire brigade team reached the office in less then 15 minutes, PTI said in a report.
"Only electricity of the office has been turned off which may take few hours to restore. There was no damage of property and no one was injured," BJP said in a statement.
In a separate incident reported from New Delhi, a fire broke out in a parking area of a residential building in Sarita Vihar. No casualty was reported in the incident, officials said.
"We received a fire call at 6.19 am, and three fire tenders were pressed into service, the official said. Three cars were damaged and a scooter was gutted in the fire that broke out in the stilt parking area of the four-storey building," the official said.
The residents were evacuated on time and the fire was doused within 40 minutes, he said. We have informed local police for the investigation to know the actual reason for the fire. A short-circuit is suspected to have triggered the fire, said the official.
