Delhi BJP MLAs Sent Out Of Assembly After Seeking CM Kejriwal's Reply On 'Deaths' Of Homeless People
The MLAs of the BJP demanded that Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal speak on the issue in the House.
Bharatiya Janata Party MLAs were marshalled out of the Delhi Assembly on Friday, after they alleged that 203 homeless people have died in the national capital during the winter season so far, as reported by news agency PTI. The MLAs of the saffron party demanded that Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal speak on the issue in the House.
Speaking in the Delhi Assembly, LoP and BJP MLA Ramvir Singh Bidhuri said, "If a discussion cannot take place on the important Delhi Police report which states that 203 people have died on Delhi roads due to winter, then what should be discussed in the House? Calling attention notices by BJP MLAs are not being accepted. The Delhi CM should give an answer on this".

After the proceedings resumed post lunch, a short-duration discussion under Rule 55 commenced on the saffron party allegedly obstructing the regularisation of the sanitation workers of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), news agency PTI reported.
Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Ramvir Singh Bidhuri gave a notice for a calling-attention motion on the alleged death of 203 homeless people in Delhi during the ongoing winter season. "We demand that Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal provide answers on the issue in the House," Vidhuri said, as quoted by PTI,
The calling-attention motion was rejected by speaker Ram Niwas Goel and stated that he will study the matter and then reach a decision. He ordered that the BJP MLAs be marshalled out after they refused to back down in their demand. Bidhuri also alleged that 12 notices were given by BJP MLAs on issues faced by the people of Delhi but not one was accepted for discussion.
