Disposed Of 'Easily Perishable' Parts First, Burnt Her Face: Aftab Tells Cops How He Got Rid Of Shraddha's Body

Shraddha Murder Case: Accused Aftab has revealed to police how he got rid of victim Shraddha's body after killing her.

Shraddha murder accused Aftab has revealed to the police how he got rid of Shraddha after killing her. He has told the police that first, he disposed of the easily perishable parts which could emanate stench after a while. He also said he burnt Shraddha's face to ensure she won't be identified.

He also told the police that he used bleach to clean up the place to ensure there is no evidence of the crime. He also used chemicals to erase traces of blood, the official who investigated Aftab told ABP. He also revealed that he burnt Shraddha's face to hide her identity. Aftab told him that he had cut Shraddha's body into 35 pieces and disposed them of in the jungle, and threw another part in a different location.

The Delhi Police has recovered some parts of the skeleton from Shraddha Walkar’s chopped-off corpse with bone structures mainly from the back side of the body. As per ABP News sources, the police have recovered a pelvis and 10 other bones from a drain in the Mehrauli jungle. Shraddha was strangled and killed by her live-in partner, Aftab Amin Poonawala on May 18 who later chopped off her body into 35 pieces. Aftab had stacked the chopped body parts in a refrigerator and disposed of them at various places across Delhi.

As per the sources, the police have also found blood stains in Aftab’s kitchen, and the sample has been sent for testing to ascertain the person it belonged to.

Based on the investigation so far, the police suspect that after the killing, Aftab had chopped Shraddha’s body parts in the bathroom where he would turn on the shower so that the blood would drain out and the body could be easily cut up.

Aftab also tampered with the evidence as the sources told after disposing of Shraddha’s cut-up body parts, he cleaned the refrigerator with acid so that he could dodge probes by the forensic team if caught.
