'Let Them Get Killed': Video Captures Negligence By Cops In Morena Killings Case

MP News: The crimes were committed between the families of Dheer Singh Tomar and Gajendra Singh Tomar in Morena's Dimani Assembly area. A video has raised concern over police inaction in the matter.

After six members of a family, including a father-son duo and three women, were shot dead while three others were injured on Friday in Madhya Pradesh’s Morena district, a viral video pertaining to the case flag police inaction in the matter. In a video, a man from the victim's family reached the Sihonia police station and urged the police to reach the house where gunshots were being fired, but was told that there was not enough police force to take action.

The police said that they do not have adequate force right now.

In the video, personnel are heard saying, "maar daalan de, maaran deo (let them get killed)". As per inputs, most deceased lost their lives because of excessive loss of blood, had they received adequate help on time, their lives could have been saved.

On Friday, several men carrying rifles were seen shooting at an unarmed family and a shocking video footage of the incident surfaced on social media.

The crimes were committed around 10 am at Lepa village, 50 to 60 km from the district headquarters, under the Dimani Assembly area between the families of Dheer Singh Tomar and Gajendra Singh Tomar.

Three of the victims died on the spot and three succumbed to their bullet wounds while being rushed to the district hospital, Inspector General of Police (Chambal Zone) S Saxena told news agency PTI.
