Actress Priyanka Mohan narrowly escaped in a stage collapse accident during the inauguration of Kasam Shopping Mall in Torrur, Telangana on Thursday. The incident occurred when the stage, crowded with attendees, gave way, reportedly injuring three people, including Congress leader Jhansi Reddy.


Among the injured were Jhansi Reddy, the mother of MLA Yashaswini, and Hanumandla Jhansi Reddy, the Congress party's in-charge. While the injuries were reported as non-life-threatening, the collapse caused panic among the crowd. Fortunately, Priyanka Mohan was unharmed and quickly moved to safety.


While video showed dramatic visuals of the stage collapse, it also showed Priyanka Mohan escorted carefully by bouncers after the incident. 







The event, which drew a large gathering, saw swift action from authorities, and medical aid was provided to those injured.


Taking to X, Priyanka Mohan said, "In light of the accident that occurred at an event I had attended in Torrur today, I wanted to let my well wishers know that I'm okay and was lucky to escape with minor injuries."


"My prayers and wishes for a speedy recovery to those who may have suffered any injuries in the incident. I would like to thank everyone for the kind messages of love and care they sent my way, Thank you," she said. 


Currently, she is awaiting the release of her Tamil film Brother opposite Jayam Ravi. In Telugu, she was last seen in Saripodhaa Sanivaaram alongside Nani and SJ Surya. She is also awaiting the release of They Call Him OG in Telugu. 


Priyanka is known for her roles in the movies 'Doctor', 'Etharkkum Thunindhavan', 'Don' and 'Captain Miller'
