8 Cars, Hour Long Chase: Nashik Police Nab Drug Traffickers In Late Night Raid, Seize 28 Kg Ganja - On Cam

In a dramatic turn of events, eight control room (CR) mobile vans chased for an hour across the city to nab drug traffickers and 28 kilograms of ganja with them. The development came when a red MH 02 registered car tried to breach the Adgaon stop and search checkpoint on Tuesday around 2 am.
Acting on suspicion of illegal weapons, narcotics, explosives, or similar contraband, the control room was alerted within seconds. Eight CR mobile units of the Nashik City Police quickly sprang into action. The suspect attempted to evade capture by avoiding the main roads but failed to outmaneuver the police.
According to a report by NDTV, the pursuit spanned several locations across Nashik City, including Adgaon, Dwarka U-turn, Amardham U-turn, KK Wagh College, and Chakradhar Swami Mandir. A vehicle search revealed 28 kg of ganja concealed in the trunk.

"With strategy, our teams successfully managed to catch hold of the driver, without causing any harm to others," stated Nashik City Police.
The vehicle bearing MH 02 registration was registered in Mumbai and was traveling from Dhule to Navi Mumbai. The Nashik City Police Commissioner commended the team involved in the operation.
"Special praise goes to Bhaurao Gangurde and Balkrushna Pawar, among the alert personnel who immediately started the chase," it said.
Police Chase Leads To Vehicle Overturning In Gurugram
In a separate incident on November 14, 2024, a suspected cattle smuggler lost his life and six others were injured when their cow-laden vehicle overturned as they drove on the wrong side of the road while being pursued by police early in Gurugram, Haryana on Thursday, officials said.
In the response, a police spokesperson stated that the injured smugglers were admitted to a hospital. He also said that the body of the deceased will be handed over to his family after the postmortem.
According to a report by news PTI, police confirmed that members of the Cow Protection Cell observed people loading cows into a pickup truck near the bus stand in Manesar. Upon spotting the police, the suspects drove off toward Pachgaon Bilaspur road.
While trying to evade the police, they got caught in a traffic jam at Pachgaon Chowk. In an attempt to escape, the pickup truck accelerated, struck a divider, and overturned. Police arrested them around 3:30 am.
