Lucknow Hotel Murders: Mohammad Arshad from Agra, who allegedly killed his mother and four sisters in a hotel room in Lucknow on New Year’s Eve, reached out to his maternal uncle Mohammad Zeeshan after the act and confessed to him, saying, “I have killed the entire family.” The victims, Asma, a 40-year-old mother, and her daughters Alia (9), Aksa (16), Rahmeen (18), and Alshia (19), were found dead in the hotel room. The bodies were buried in Sambhal on Friday morning in the presence of grieving family members.
Family members of the deceased, who hailed from Sambhal, have demanded the death penalty for Arshad. Asma’s brother, Mohammad Zeeshan, recounted the chilling phone call from Arshad on the day of the incident.
"I received a phone call from Lucknow that day. I spoke with Arshad. He said, 'Uncle, I have killed the whole family,' after which the police took away the phone," Zeeshan shared, as quoted by news agency PTI.
He added, "I want Arshad to get the harshest punishment; he should be hanged." He also called for the immediate arrest of Arshad's father Mohammad Badr.

Lucknow Hotel Murder: Arshad Claims Father's Involvement In Killings
According to the police, Arshad shot a 6.5-minute selfie video confessing to slitting the wrists and throats of his family members. In the video, he also implicated his father, Mohammad Badr, in the crime. Efforts are underway to arrest Badr, stated Central Lucknow Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Raveena Tyagi, PTI reported.
“We have formed four teams to search and arrest the father, Mohammad Badr. The main accused Mohammad Arshad, in his video confession, claimed that his father was also involved in the murders. Arshad has been sent to judicial custody,” said DCP Tyagi.
The murder reportedly stemmed from domestic disputes and alleged harassment by neighbours. In the video, Arshad claimed, "I, along with my entire family, am forced to take this step in helplessness and despair... I have killed my sisters and myself. When the police get this video, I request that they hold the people of the locality responsible for all of this."
The post-mortem examination of the victims was conducted on Thursday afternoon by a panel of doctors, with senior officials overseeing the process.
