A 9-year-old girl from Montfort Inter College passed away due to cardiac arrest while playing outside her classroom on Friday. The Class 3 student, Manvi Singh, felt dizzy and collapsed in the corridor, the school principal reported.

A statement issued by the school principal that after Manvi fell unconscious in the playground, she was immediately taken to nearby Fatima Hospital, PTI reported. But later, her family transferred her to Chandan Hospital, where doctors confirmed her death was due to cardiac arrest.

Family Decline Any Investigation

According to TOI, the family of the girl resides in the Vikasnagar area of Lucknow. SHO, Mahanagar, Akhilesh Mishra, stated that as per her family, the girl had been unwell for several years and was undergoing treatment. They declined to pursue any legal action.

"They informed us that the girl had been unwell for the past few years and was undergoing treatment," he said. "Given her health condition, they believe her fall was related to her illness, and therefore, no further investigation is necessary," said the SHO.
