Faridabad News: The Faridabad Traffic police fined former Haryana Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala for not wearing a helmet during a political roadshow. According to the traffic police, Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) chief Chautala was fined Rs 2,000 for road safety violation while riding a motorcycle, NDTV reported.


Besides this, the police also seized 14 motorcycles involved in the road show. As per the NDTV report, the motorcycle that Chautala was riding was registered in the name of one of his supporters Riyasat Ali.


The police action came during a public meeting in Faridabad’s Gochhi village on Sunday, August 25. The JJP chief attended the meeting as a chief guest. Several JJP workers were seen riding motorcycles without helmets, according to the police said. They further said that they are identifying the number plates to send challans. A total of 15 challans were issued during the roadshow.   






Meanwhile, Dushyant Chautala has formed an alliance with Chandrashekhar Azad's Azad Samaj Party (ASP). The two parties made the announcement during a joint press conference on Tuesday.


Under the agreement, the JJP will contest 70 seats while the Azad Samaj Party will contest 20 seats in the upcoming elections.


On Wednesday, Chautala said that his party has got into election mode and preparations are underway for JJP's political affairs committee meeting to be held on September 2.


With the Haryana set to got to polls on October 1, Dhushyant Chautala said that candidates for most of the seats would be announced after the meeting on September 2.
