Delhi News: The Monsoon is likely to remain active in north India, with Delhi-NCR experiencing a resurgence of rainfall activity. After several days of low rainfall and intense summer heat causing discomfort, the rainy season has restarted in Delhi. The meteorological department has predicted rain in various parts of Delhi today.


According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), cloudy weather and light rain are expected in Delhi on Friday, July 19. The movement of clouds will continue throughout the day, with thunderclouds and light rain expected too. The maximum temperature is forecast to be 37 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature will be around 29 degrees Celsius. On Thursday, some areas experienced afternoon showers.

Relief From Heat


It drizzled in some areas of Delhi on Thursday, with the maximum temperature in the capital recorded at 37 degrees Celsius, two degrees above normal. The minimum temperature was 29.6 degrees Celsius, also two degrees higher than normal. 


Humidity levels ranged from 63 to 94 percent. Delhi (Safdarjung) received 4.3 mm of rain, Palam had 4.8 mm, Lodi Road saw 0.8 mm, and the Ridge recorded slight drizzle. 


Aya Nagar received 13.3 mm rain, Pusa had 1 mm, Jafarpur saw 0.5 mm, and Pitampura experienced 42 mm of rain. 


Although the rain provided some relief, the humidity increased again in the evening once the rain stopped.


Delhi-NCR Weather Forecast For Next Three Days


The weather forecast for the next three days indicates that the maximum temperature will be around 36 degrees Celsius on July 20, and the minimum will be 28 degrees Celsius. On July 21 and 22, light to moderate rainfall is expected, with a yellow alert issued. During these days, the maximum temperature will range from 37 to 35 degrees Celsius, and the minimum temperature will be between 28 and 27 degrees Celsius.
