UIDAI Extends Deadline To Update Aadhaar Card Details For Free To This Date; Check All The Details Here
Aadhaar update: Although updating Aadhaar cards through the myAadhaar portal continues to be free of charge, a fee of Rs 50 is required for offline updates
The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has announced an extension of the deadline for individuals to update their Aadhaar card details for free. Initially set for June 14, 2024, this deadline has now been pushed forward to September 14, 2024. This decision comes as a relief to citizens, granting them additional time to review and make necessary adjustments to their biometric and demographic data to ensure its accuracy.
Although updating Aadhaar cards through the myAadhaar portal continues to be free of charge, a fee of Rs 50 is required for offline updates.
You can update details such as name, address, photo, and other pertinent information at no cost through the UIDAI website's online portal until September 14. This is not the first time that UIDAI has extended the deadline; previously, deadlines were initially set for December 15, 2023, then further extended to March 14, followed by another extension to June 14, and now, the current extension stretches until September 14.
