SBI Update: For those who are not willing to check into State Bank of India (SBI) home branch to apply for a cheque book, but exhausted all the leaves, then there is nothing to worry. As a SBI account holders you can easily request for a new cheque book online, and also get it delivered to any address of your requirement.  As per the latest update from the top lender, SBI users can now place a request for a cheque book for delivery to any address of their choice. In their official Twitter account, the bank said, "Use our Internet Banking service and request for a cheque book delivery to any address of your choice in few simple steps."



It’s important to note that you can apply for the new cheque book online through SBI's net banking facility.

Follow the procedure below to apply for new cheque book.

1) Firstly, log in to SBI net banking account with the user name and password.

2) You can see a new page, and then click on 'Request & Enquiries' option.

3) Click on the 'Cheque Book Request' option from the drop-down menu.

4) You can now see all your account details.

5) Just select the account for which you want the cheque book to be issued.

6) Then simply enter the number of cheque leaves you want from the dropbox menu.

7) Select the required option and click on 'Submit'.

8) On the new page select your delivery address. Three options are available (Registered address, last available dispatch address or new address) Click any one option as per your requirement.

9) Once you have marked the address click on Submit.

10) Also, note the details of the cheque book request and enter the OTP that has been sent to your registered mobile number and click on Confirm.

There are alternate ways to apply for SBI cheque book that include mobile banking, SMS facility, Missed Call Banking, visiting nearest SBI ATM, or home bank branch and fill SBI cheque book request form.
