Gold prices witnessed marginal gains in the national capital, recording a Rs 35 rise to reach Rs 43,996 per 10 gram on Tuesday. According to HDFC Securities, this has happened amid a gain in global price. In the previous trade, gold rates had closed at Rs 43,961 per 10 gram.


Silver also jumped Rs 553 to Rs 65,621 per kilogram as opposed to Rs 65,068 per kilogram reported in the previous trade.


In the international market, gold was reported to have received gains at USD 1,696 per ounce and silver was flat at USD 25.50 per ounce.

"Gold prices traded firm supported by a weaker dollar," Tapan Patel, Senior Analyst (Commodities) in HDFC Securities said.
