Fuel Prices Go Up After Remaining Unchanged For Two Days — Check Latest Petrol, Diesel Prices

Petrol and Diesel prices in the country surged again after two days. While the petrol prices rose from 31 to 35 paise, diesel prices shot up from 33 to 37 paise.

New Delhi: Petrol and diesel prices in the country marked another surge on Wednesday. After the prices remained unchanged for the two days, fuel prices have been hiked again.

A price notification by the Oil Marketing Companies (OMC) stated that petrol prices have increased from 31 to 35 paise. Whereas diesel prices have shot up from 33 paise to 37 paise across the country. 

After the latest price revision, the fuel prices in the national capital have recorded a fresh high. According to the data by the Indian Oil Corporation, petrol prices in Delhi have risen by 34 paise from the last day being available at Rs 107.94 on Wednesday. Diesel prices in the national capital cost at Rs 96.67 per litre, experiencing a surge of 35 paise. 

Petrol prices in Mumbai too saw the same surge of 34 paise as in Delhi. The price notification by OMCs stated petrol prices at Rs 113.80 per litre whereas diesel was sold at Rs 104.75 per litre on Wednesday. The surge in diesel prices was by 37 paise in the financial capital, stated the notification. 

In the southern metropolitan city of Chennai, a litre of petrol cost Rs 104.83 on Wednesday. This was a hike of 31 paise from the Tuesday rate which was at Rs 104.52. Diesel prices in the city hiked by 33 paise from the last day and was priced at Rs 100.92 per litre on Wednesday. 

In the capital city of West Bengal, the petrol price rose by 34 paise on Saturday and was priced at Rs 108.46 on Wednesday. Diesel price in the city rose by 35 paise on Tuesday and was available at Rs 99.78 per litre on Wednesday.

Price notification by state-run OMCs too showed similar trends. In Bhopal, petrol prices on Wednesday surged by 36 paise costing Rs 116.62 whereas diesel was priced at Rs 106.01, up by 37 paise.
