A Bengaluru resident’s recent stint as a delivery agent for Blinkit has led to notable changes within the company. Sneha, who joined as a delivery partner to gain insight into Blinkit’s rapid delivery system, shared her observations and feedback in a detailed thread on X (formerly Twitter). Her insights and feedback prompted the quick commerce firm to implement several adjustments.


Sneha's thread, which quickly went viral, detailed her experience delivering orders in the Indiranagar area. "Signed up to be a Blinkit delivery partner and delivered a few orders around Indiranagar today. And da*n it was amazing, earned some money, talked to a few riders. Got to know how the whole system works,” she wrote.






However, her feedback pointed out several concerns. Sneha observed inconsistencies in the promotional messages Blinkit sends to its delivery agents, such as claims of potential earnings up to Rs 50,000 a month and a Rs 2,000 bonus. “This whole message is too gimmicky. Please don't give hope or false information to the riders. After I delivered a few orders I just know how hard it is to earn Rs 50,000 and yes, where is my bonus 2K. Didn't see how to get it or any terms and conditions,” she wrote.






She also sought clarification about Blinkit's free medical insurance policy for delivery agents.






Additionally, Sneha criticised the conditions at a local Blinkit store, noting the absence of adequate seating and drinking water facilities. “The whole place is too messy to even stand. It would be great if you take care of the store as well,” she suggested. Sneha also recommended that Blinkit provide larger paper bags for heavier orders to avoid the current bags from tearing.






In response to Sneha’s feedback, Blinkit's Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Sajal Gupta, acknowledged the issues and detailed the changes that have been made. “The seating area has been upgraded. We will make this the standard across stores,” Gupta wrote. He also noted that Blinkit has addressed several other concerns raised by Sneha.


Sneha's post also drew the attention of Blinkit CEO Albinder Dhindsa, who responded, “Thanks for the feedback, Sneha! Good points here. We will pick these up, fix and report back soon."


Since being shared online, her post has gone viral, generating over a million views and numerous appreciative comments from social media users. One user wrote, “Well done on showing out the process. Also, as you rightly said earning 50k/month at the beginning itself gives kinda a false hope. I hope people are able to earn this much, but it all depends on the frequency of the deliveries and so many other factors.”


Another user added: “A weekend spent for a cause. so proud of you.”
